Delivery

When will my order be delivered? 

Orders are delivered between 8am and 5pm on your selected or regularly scheduled delivery day. If you need a narrower timeframe, we can bring your order in the AM (8am - Noon) or PM (Noon - 5) time slots. Just call us at 847-291-9216 to set this up.

How does the quality of the food I order from Office Java compare to what I can find in the vending machines or at the grocery store?

Our products are delivered regularly and kept in temperature controlled conditions to insure freshness. You'll find our products are as good as what you would find in the grocery store, if not better because the items have not been displayed for days and examined by other shoppers.

Can I trust Office Java to supply meat and other fresh foods?

Absolutely. We stock only the highest quality meat and fresh foods and pride ourselves on picking only the best for you. We carefully train our shoppers to choose only the freshest products and before an order can leave our doors, it is checked for accuracy, quality and proper packaging.

Can I tip the Mark Vend driver?

No, you should not tip your driver. We take care of our employees so you don't have to. You will find our drivers to be courteous and polite because we hire the best in the business and treat them very well.

Can I reserve a delivery time?

Yes, you can reserve a delivery time, you can even schedule a regular delivery day to insure you never run out of the items you need. Deliveries take place within the time slot of 8am to 5pm. If you need a narrower timeframe we can either bring your order in the AM (8am - 11:30am) or in the PM (12-5). Just call us at 847-291-9216 to set this up.

Can I create a regular delivery schedule?

We recommend that you do. Setting up a delivery schedule will help guarantee that the office never runs out of its most needed products.

Does someone need to sign for the order?

Yes, all orders require a signature upon acceptance of the delivery.

Do I need to be present to receive a delivery?

Yes, someone needs to be present to accept and sign for the order.

 

Problems

What if I receive my order and realize that I ordered the wrong item or I receive an item I did not order?

Your satisfaction is our goal, we accept returned products and, if the mistake is ours, we will make it right by returning or exchanging the product for you, or arranging a credit on a future order.

Can I return or exchange an item? 

If for any reason you need to return or exchange an item just give it to the driver at your next delivery. All returned merchandise must be in manufacturer's original packaging and received before the expiration date (or within 30 days). We will either exchange or credit your account for the item.

Ordering

How far in advance do I need to order?

All orders should be placed at least 48 hours in advance so we can pick pack and deliver the freshest quality product to you and get it right.

How can I pay for my order?

Office Java makes paying for orders easy. You can set up your own account with a credit card to pay for each order or you can pay by check, mail it to us at 3000 MacArthur Blvd. Northbrook, IL 60062.

Will you substitute items that are not available?

To ensure freshness we have constant product deliveries so we rarely run out of what you need. In the rare occasion that we don't have something on hand we would call to arrange for a substitution.

What if I don't have time to finish my order in one sitting? Can I place items in my cart and checkout later?

Items that you add to your cart will remain in the cart for 24 hours. When you want to do a little shopping, but aren't quite ready to finalize your purchase, add the items you would like to purchase later to the shopping cart. We save your list for you for 24 hours so when you are ready to complete your shopping, simply proceed to Check Out. We do not save shopping sessions for greater than 24 hours for server security and speed issues. In addition, using multiple browser windows to navigate the store, refreshing your screen, using bookmarks, and using the back button may also cause some unexpected shopping cart changes. We recommend that you use one browser window while shopping and use the tabs and search functions provided within our cart system to navigate through the store and add items to your cart.

Can I change or cancel my order?  How? (Until when)

Office Java unconditionally guarantees any product that you purchase from us.  If you have a concern or problem regarding a delivery, simply contact us by clicking here. While orders cannot be modified or cancelled via our online ordering site, you can always contact us via phone or email up until 4:00 pm the day before the order is scheduled to go out and we will certainly amend or cancel your order. On most items, we will gladly replace the item or refund your money when returned within 30 days of purchase.  Once a Return is processed and collected by us (typically within a few days after it is initiated), a credit will be processed using your credit card account or account receivable account.  We can't guarantee that mistakes won't happen, but we can guarantee that we'll deal with it promptly.

How do I create a regular standing order and schedule regular deliveries?

The Quick Order Page is your list of items that you purchase from Office Java at special pricing on a regular basis. The purpose of the Quick Order page is to provide a fast and easy method to order the merchandise you order most frequently or that is important to you.  Only a member can see/establish a Quick Order List. To add items from the Quick Order (Standing Order) page to your cart, simply click on Add to Cart button next to the items you want to add to the Shopping Cart. You can even place quantities and select the unit of measure for all the products you want to order, and then hit any ONE of the Add to Cart buttons to have all the items that have a designated quantity and unit added quickly to your cart.

What is a Recurring Order? How Is It Different from a Regular Order?

Recurring Orders are a convenient way to save a shopping cart's contents for purchase on a scheduled basis that you control. With a recurring order, you place all the items in your cart that you wish to purchase regularly and then name the order (such as Monthly Coffee) and select a day of the month you would like to receive an email reminder to purchase that order. Recurring orders can be placed on hold if you have enough supplies for the time-being. When you receive your recurring order email reminder, simply click the link in the email and you will automatically be logged into Office Java Online Ordering Site and all of the items you have selected will be placed in your cart and ready for quick checkout. We will never process a recurring order without your approval, so there is no confusion when the order is placed. Regular orders and recurring orders are processed the same; Recurring orders just give our customers an extra measure of convenience.

You can create a recurring order in one of two ways:

1. Shop for your favorite coffees and teas, add them to your cart, and proceed to checkout.
2. At the bottom of your cart, you will be asked if you would like to set up this order as a recurring order. Answer, Yes.
3. Continue with checkout, where you will be asked to select a name for your recurring order and the day of the month you would like it processed.
4. Complete checkout and you're done!

The second way you can create a recurring order does not require you to actually purchase the items at that time; you can simply set an order up for future processing and purchasing.

1. Shop for your favorite coffees and teas, add them to your cart, and proceed to checkout.
2. At the bottom of your cart, you will be asked if you would like to set up this order as a recurring order. Answer, Yes.
3. Continue with checkout, where you will be asked to select a name for your recurring order and the day of the month you would like it processed.
4. On this checkout page, at the bottom of the page, a button will appear that says "Don't Purchase, Just Set Up My Recurring Order."
5. Click this button and your order will be saved. You will be brought to recurring order summary page without purchasing the order.

Can I Have More Than One Recurring Order?

Yes. You can set up multiple recurring orders using the steps described above. For example, if you would like a Recurring Order for Hazelnut Coffee to be processed on the 15th and 30th of every month, you can accomplish this in one of two ways.

First, on any day of the month, you can login into the site and place the number of boxes of Hazelnut Coffee you would like to receive in your cart. If you would like to receive 3 boxes of Hazelnut twice a month, then as before, add 3 boxes of Hazelnut to the cart and submit the order as a recurring order to process on the 15th of the month. With this method, you will actually be purchasing the coffee. Login again on another day, or even the same day, place the same order, but set the day to process the order on to the 30th.

The second method is to add your desired boxes of Hazelnut coffee to your cart, but instead of completing the checkout, on the bottom of the checkout page, click the button that says "Don't Purchase, Just Set Up My Recurring Order." You have set up a recurring order without purchasing the coffee at that instant. You can repeat this process to set up as many recurring orders as you desire. You must be logged in to set up recurring orders using the second method.

How Is My Recurring Order Processed? How Will I Know When It's Time To Place My Order?

On the day you choose to have your recurring order processed, you will receive an email reminder. Inside this email, there will be a link that automatically logs you into our website and places the recurring order items in your cart. You will then continue the checkout process as normal. We do not automatically bill your credit card on that day. You, as a customer, will follow the email link to the website and place the order yourself, so you can change the shipping method, credit card number, ship to address, etc. to allow for flexibility.

Can I Edit a Recurring Order?

Yes. When you log into the website, on the top menu, click on the "Recurring Orders" button. This is your Recurring Orders Account Management page. It displays the name of your recurring order, the last day it was processed, the day of month you choose to process it, the order status (hold or normal processing), and buttons to Delete/Buy your Order Now. You can also drop down details of the order to see the items, quantities, and prices of the items you are ordering by clicking the "plus" sign next to the order name to expand its details.

To edit an order, simply click on the Recurring Order's Name and you will be brought to a page that allows you to change the order name, the day it is processed, and a way to place the order on "hold." You cannot edit the items/quantities in your recurring order. To do this, simply create another recurring order using one of the two methods above and then you can choose to delete the old recurring order. To make sure changes made are saved, make sure you click the "Save Changes to Recurring Order" button before exiting the maintenance page.

Can I Delete a Recurring Order?

Yes. When you log into the website, on the top menu, click on the "Recurring Orders" button. This is your Recurring Orders Account Management page. On the far right hand side of the page, a button appears that says "Delete Order." You will be asked to confirm whether or not you want to delete this order as a safeguard against accidental deletion. If you confirm and answer "yes", you will be brought back to the main Recurring Orders Maintenance Page and the order will be removed from the list of recurring orders at that point.

Can I Put My Recurring Order on Hold? How Can I Return It To a Normal Scheduled Process Day?

Yes. If you do not want a particular recurring order to be processed in a certain month because you do not need the order fulfilled at that time, you can place an order on Hold until you decide to change the order status back to Normal.

When you log into the website, on the top menu, click on the "Recurring Orders" button. This is your Recurring Orders Account Management page. Click on the name of the order you would like to place on hold. Under the Maintenance screen that appears, check the button to place your order on HOLD status and hit "Save Changes to Recurring Order." To return the order to its normal processing schedule, simply log back into the Recurring Orders Maintenance page, click on the order, and check the button to place your order back to Normal Delivery.

Can I Purchase My Recurring Order at any Time or Only on the Day I Set It Up For?

Yes, at any time. When you log into the website, on the top menu, click on the "Recurring Orders" button. This is your Recurring Orders Account Management page. On the far right side of the screen, there is a button that says "Purchase Order Now." This will put your recurring order directly in your cart, and place you into the checkout process. This is the fastest way to purchase a recurring order.

It is important to remember that buying your recurring order on a day other than the day set to process the order normally, does not change the processing schedule. For example, if you set up a recurring order to deliver on the 15th of every month for Hazelnut Coffee and decide on the 5th that you are running low and need your order placed sooner, you can do so, but on the 15th you will still be sent an email reminding you to order. In a situation as such, simply place your recurring order on Hold until after the 15th and then turn normal delivery back on.

Can I Add Items to My Order When I Am Purchasing a Recurring Order?

Yes. You can add additional items at the time of a recurring order that are not part of your recurring order. These items will not be added to your scheduled delivery unless you say "Yes" to "Save This As A Recurring Order" at the time of checkout. At that point, you will have created a second recurring order, so you may want to delete your first one. Otherwise, if you say "No" to "Save This As A Recurring Order" you recurring order will remain unchanged and your current order will just have the extra items you need in it.

I just received an email reminder to order, but I don't need supplies. Do I need to do anything?

When you receive an email reminder from Office Java, we are just reminding you that we are going to be in your area on your scheduled delivery day to deliver goods and/or perform service/maintenance. If you do not need anything, there is no need to respond or contact Office Java. You can always order at any time when you need something; the email reminders just serve as an extra part of the online customer service.

 

Technical

What happens if I forget my username or password?

Your username is always the email address that you used when the account was created. If you've forgotten your password, simply click on forgot password link on the member login page, enter your login email address, and we will promptly e-mail you your password. In the event you have forgotten both your username (email address) and password, simply contact us at Office Java as we can promptly re-send you your login information. 

Can I change my username?

Is it safe to use my credit card over the Internet?

We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express; however our online ordering site does not process credit cards, but will in the future. You can enter your credit card information in our secure checkout and we will process the card manually for you, until Verisign credit card processing is available at the Office Java Store. All information entered via our website pertaining to your credit card is encrypted and processed over a 128 bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connection, protecting others from seeing your credit card information. SSL technology offers protection of the data submitted to our web site (or between servers) through the use of encryption. Should any information be intercepted, it will be unintelligible for decryption.

How is my personal information kept private?

We recognize the sensitive nature of your personal account information.  For your protection, all information transmitted by you to us while visiting our Web site is secured using the latest technology in software encryption and security.  We use the information collected to process orders and to provide you a personalized shopping experience.  We also use information gathered to send promotional material about Office Java to you from time to time. This promotional material is opt-in and users may opt-out of future mailings by following the instructions located within the mailing itself. We use registration information (name, shipping address, E-mail address, phone numbers, etc.) to contact customers in regards to orders placed at Office Java when necessary. You will also notice the SSL seal on our site, which you can click on to verify our credentials, and you will be directed to secure web addresses at all times when placing your order. Securing transmission of financial information in ecommerce is currently the major application of SSL certificates. However, with incidence of personal information theft on the rise, Office Java realizes that protection of personally identifiable information is becoming ever more important. Therefore, we stand by our strict Privacy Policy and vow to protect all your information.

Does Mark Vend use "cookies?"

We use cookies to store visitors' preferences, alert visitors to new areas of the site, customize Web page content based on visitor interests, and record past activity in order to provide better service. Cookies are small text files that do not damage a visitor's system or files. Most browsers will allow a user to accept or deny cookies. Cookies do not act maliciously on computer systems. They are merely text files that can be deleted at any time - they are not plug-ins nor are they programs. Cookies cannot be used to spread viruses and they cannot access your hard drive.
